The AIA Pittsburgh Committee on the Environment (COTE) is excited to announce the second seminar of the Fall-Spring Seminar Series.
Speakers:
Matthew Mahoney, KEEA
Chris Jones, Bricker and Eckler
Jarret Kelley, Plug Smart
Allegheny County passed C-PACE legislation in September, allowing this innovative financing tool for sustainable design to be available in our area. Learn how C-PACE and PA’s flagship energy efficiency law, Act 129, can provide support for healthier, high performing buildings.
C-PACE provides funding to help facilitate energy efficiency and clean energy loans. Nationally, half a billion dollars has been invested through C-PACE loans, and many industry experts expect that number to double in the next few years. In Pennsylvania, C-PACE investment can help retrofit one of the nation’s oldest building stocks and accelerate growth in a local energy efficiency industry that already accounts for 65,000 jobs and counting.
This is the second session in a series and will focus on the technical aspects of the program - how loans are accessed and administered; the legal considerations for the program; and what role architects and developers have during the process. A Case study will be presented by a developer who has used C-PACE on several projects.
2.0 AIA CEUs. Lunch will be provided.
Online registration closes Monday, Jan. 13. Seats are limited so please register early.
Some of COTE’s future seminars include:

…and more!
